Wrap Around Care Information

Fairfield Wrap Around Care aims to provide a service to meet the needs of our school community and is available to all children who attend Fairfield Prep School.

Opening hours

Breakfast Club 7.45 a.m. – 8.30 a.m.

After School Care.- the end of the school day – 6.00 p.m.


Breakfast Club: – £4.40 per session.

After School Club:- Attendance immediately at the end of the School day: £12.35 per session.

Wrap Around Care is complementary for kindergarten children , please inform Mrs Willingham should you wish to attend .

Attendance after extra-curricular activities: £6.20 per session.

Places are pre-registered half termly in advance . The sessions are itemised on the School fee invoice, payable at the end of each term.

Registration Forms for Breakfast and After School Club are held either in the School Office or are available directly from Mrs Willingham.

Breakfast Club

This is held in the Dining Hall.

  • Children are registered from 7.45 a.m., where they are supervised by the Breakfast Club Supervisor.
  • The children are provided with a nutritious breakfast, and they will also have the opportunity to socialise and play with their peers.
  • All children remain in the Dining Hall until 8.30 a.m., after which they will be supervised by a duty member of the Fairfield staff on the playgrounds.
  • At 8.30 a.m. the Reception children are escorted to their respective classrooms by a Breakfast Club Supervisor.

After School Club

The Dining Hall is the assembly point for the commencement of After School Care.

  • The club provides a safe and enriching environment for the children to access a variety of activities once the children have been dismissed from their classrooms at the end of their school day.
  • Any child not collected at the end of the school day is taken to the After School Club and After School charges will apply.
  • Reception children are taken to the Dining Hall at 3.30 p.m. by a member of staff.
  • Year 1 and 2 are taken to the Dining Hall at 3.40 p.m. by a member of staff.
  • Years 3 – 6 will make their own way to the club at 3.40 p.m.
  • A light tea is served for the children from 3.30 p.m.
  • Registration of the children by year group on arrival and cross referenced to the expected attendees.
  • On completion of extra-curricular activities, Pre Prep children will be escorted to the After School club.
  • Upper Prep children joining after an extra-curricular activity at 5.00 p.m. must advise the adult in charge of their activity and then make their own way for registration and tea.
  • Homework supervision is provided for the Upper Prep from 4.15 p.m. – 5.00 p.m.
  • Parents must sign their children out of the Club when collected in the presence of an After Club Supervisor before leaving the School.
  • Parents are asked to advise the After School Manager of the collection arrangements for their child if they are not able to do so themselves.

Collection at the end of sessions

  • Please collect and sign out your child no later than 6.00pm. If you are late collecting your child at the end of a session, a £15 penalty will be added to your bill, and an entry made in the Late Book.
  • After 3 late collections during an academic year, parents will be asked to withdraw their child/children from the Club.

Exchange of Booked Sessions

  • Whilst you can book extra sessions when needed, subject to availability, we do not exchange sessions. If you wish to cancel any sessions, you must give half a term’s notice.
  • In the case of an emergency, we will endeavour to accommodate the requirements of parents; however this is subject to availability.

It is the policy of the Club that all children who attend follow the School rules.
